The following sessions are bookable online:
minor illness (seeing a nurse practitioner)
Nurse practitioners are able to diagnose and prescribe in the same way as the doctors for a wide range of acute or chronic diseases such as:
Coughs and colds
Tonsillitis, sore throats
Chest infections, asthma or wheezing
Conjunctivitis
Hay fever
Skin complaints
Family Planning advice
Musculo-skeletal problems
Other acute illnesses
Please note that these clinics are not suitable for patients who are:
- Under the age of 1
- Need help with a mental health problem
- Need help with a pregnancy related problem
The Nurse practitioner will refer you onto the doctor at an appropriate time if she is not able to fully deal with your problem.

You will be seeing a nurse practitioner or suitably qualified practice nurse.
Usually you will be asked by one of the doctors or the nurses to make an appointment for this clinic if you need help or advice in monitoring or controlling blood pressure, cholesterol or if you are needing further advice about prevention of heart disease or strokes.

You will be seeing a practice nurse.

dressing clinics
You will be seeing a practice nurse. These sessions are suitable for patients requiring dressings.
moorfield house baby clinic
Your will be seeing a practice nurse. Suitable for patients requriing routine childhood immunisations.
INR clinics
You will be seeing a practice nurse. These sessions are run by our practice nurses suitable for patients who are already registered on the surgery INR system.
blood testing
You will be seeing a health care assistant.
For patients requiring blood tests. Please note if you have been told to have a fasting blood test, then do not eat or drink anything other than water for 8 hours prior to having your blood test.
