maternity care
We provide full maternity care with our community midwifes.
Clinics take place at Aylestone Hill Surgery and Ross Road Surgery.
Once your positive result had been confirmed you will be asked to present yourself at reception. The receptionist will give you a pregnancy pack and ask you some details ie name, address and telephone number. You will be asked by the receptionist to call the midwife on 07980 610071 as soon as possible.
The community midwife Jess Wright, will look after all your antenatal care other than your hospital appointments and scans.

Jess will arrange a mutually convenient time with you to do your pregnancy booking.
Most pregnancies are uncomplicated and in many cases hospital appointments may not be necessary. However, this can easily be arranged at any stage should the need arise.
You will be offered two ultrasound scans, these are performed in the x-ray department at the County Hospital and your partner is welcome to attend. Jess will arrange these for you through the midwife service, not through the surgery.

Aylestone Hill Surgery: Various appointment times (appointment only)
Ross Road Surgery: Various appointment times (appointment only)
Green Croft Centre: Friday am. Drop in and timed appointments, ask for further details from your midwife.

There will be a maternity support worker working alongside Jess, she will always be working under Jess's supervision and direction.
